Thank you for your interest in Altberg. We are a British company and we manufacture at our factories in Richmond North Yorkshire and in the Treviso region of Italy. Our factories are small and this enables us to give our full attention to every pair of boots we make.

At Altberg we take a very real pride in carrying forward our tradition as bootmakers. We hope the following will be helpful.

FACTORY SHOP - we have a factory shop open 9.00 - 4.30pm where you can visit to try on our boots or Páramo Clothing. There is a window along one side of the shop where you can see into the factory. We don't do factory tours.

BOOTS AVAILABLE EX STOCK are normally available on a 48 hour service (subject to size availability)

MADE TO ORDER BOOTS are not made until we receive the customers order and normally will take 4-10 weeks to deliver - but you should check with the factory if you need them more urgently

CUSTOM FITTING AND MADE TO MEASURE BOOTS require the customer to visit the factory for assessment and fitting. For full details click here. RESOLE SERVICE - if the leather remains supple and in good condition then get a new sole. It makes good sense both economically and environmentally - good boots become like old friends - treat your old boots as you would an old friend.

Updating the website
Altberg is not a dedicated website business. We are bootmakers and the website is not managed continually. We update our site approximately every three years - so styles will change and specifications will alter. If you want up to date information on any style, delivery date or specification you should contact the factory - they will normally be able to send you an up to date brochure or inform you of any recent product changes.
