The Borego High Bandog was first developed in 2002 for a group of riders led by Chris Scott. They planned an expedition to explore the limits of motorcycling in the Sahara. They traversed the covert trails of the contrabandiers, made an illicit excursion to the Ténérés famous lost tree, then west to the barren lava fields of the Hoggar mountains.Desert Riders The Borego Bandog boot combined the know-how Altberg had gained over many years making military desert boots and we applied this to the conditions likely to be encountered during desert riding; baking hot days, freezing cold nights and hours spent standing "on the pegs", thanks to Chris Scott, for his excellent feedback and also his great book (Desert Riders) and DVD.
