"All Altberg boots can be resoled at the factory on the original lasts - the main thing is to keep the uppers in good condition. At our factory in Richmond we see boots which are over ten years old and on their 3rd or 4th resole!!! We also see boots which are less than two years old and beyond repair... The difference is the care of the upper and of course the harshness of the environment in which the boots have been used.

THE BOOT RESOLING SERVICE
The old sole is removed using heat and steam (140°C).	The upper is roughed with a wide brush to remove all traces of the old sole and prepare the leather.	A new sole is prepared.	The upper is prepared.
The sole and upper adhesives are cured for 2 hours in a drier.	The sole adhesive is reactivated using heat lamps.	The upper adhesive is reactivated.	The new sole is attached and pressed in a sole press - 32 tonnes - serious pressure!!!
The boot with a new sole is removed from the last.	RESOLING ON THE ORIGINAL FACTORY LAST ENABLES THE BOOT TO RETAIN IT'S ORIGINAL SHAPE AND CHARACTERISTICS DURING THE RESOLE PROCESS
